Danger's in the Air by CanuckZD Danger's in the Air by CanuckZD
Danger's in the air. It's the lycanthrope, right?

Or is there something else in the distance...?

well you asked what to improve and id say its the outline part of the werewolf, add more hair so viewer isn't able to see that line where you drew line art before adding the fur and you should also make the high light on the back also on the hair on the back (do them with lighter color for example) otherwise it's a great picture with a really nice sorta dark mood in it ;) oh and maybe you would fix that hand too, the position of fingers mostly, using a human hand reference should help :)

Thanks for the suggestions! :)

And, haha, I did use my a human hand for reference (my hand, actually!). But I see what you mean - perhaps I took a picture at the wrong angle!

Overall I feel this is a very good piece, with the background being especially effective, particularly with the trees and just the dim glow of the moonlight. There is a good feeling of depth to the picture as well, drawing you in to the fine details of the mountains in the distance. The werewolf is looking excellent as well, especially the texture of the fur and the anatomy is good as well. It is rather dark, though I can make out the details of the picture well enough and it adds to the atmosphere. Aside from possibly lightening it a little and maybe adding a little more shading I don't really see any problems and as I said, it's already an excellent piece.

Thank you!

Yeah, I fixed the shading but I haven't uploaded it yet. It looks odd without the shading, but maybe I'll post it up separately and put it in my scraps for now.

Oh, and I hate to spoil it, but since you mentioned about the fine details of the mountains, did you notice anything 'funny looking' or different near them on the right side of the picture? The description gives a clue...

I really like colors here! The background is great; it has an awesome, ominous feel to it. I didn't see the moon at first, however, but I like the dim glow of it. It really adds to the picture.

The werewolf looks really awesome. The shape is great, the colors are great, and the anatomy seems pretty good (however, his paw does look a tad off). One of my biggest complaints is that he seems a bit flat and unshaded. I think with some proper shading, this could be one heck of a drawing. :) Good job, man.

Evidently I think this is great, hence the favourite :3 I think it's a little dark though, which is good for effect, however I think more emphases would be drawn to the wolf if you slightly highlighted the areas where the light hits him, but that's just my opinion. x3

Thanks for the suggestion!

I did that, but I guess it didn't show up properly. Hm...
